Program Overview

CamLoc's Years K-6 Mathematics Program uses a Singapore-informed progression from numbers to 100 in Kindergarten, to 1000 in Year 1 and to 10,000 in Year 2. Concrete, pictorial and abstract representations develop into written methods, bar-model reasoning, fractions, measurement, geometry, data and upper-primary extension. Year 5 introduces selected Stage 4 concepts, while Year 6 provides a purposeful transition into secondary Mathematics and selected Stage 5 content.

Kindergarten

A Semester 2 acceleration bridge towards Singapore Primary 1 readiness through numbers to 100, early written methods, introductory bar models, equal groups and spatial reasoning.

Students can work with numbers to 100, use number bonds to 10 and 20, calculate fluently within 20 and use strategies within 50. They can complete two-digit vertical methods without regrouping, show regrouping with models, draw simple part-whole bars, recognise equal groups of 2, 5 and 10, and use early shape, measurement and data language.

Year 1

A Semester 2 pathway consolidating Singapore Primary 1 Mathematics while introducing selected Primary 2 content, with reasoning and problem-solving transfer built into every topic.

Students can work confidently with numbers to 1000, complete three-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping or exchange, solve part-whole and comparison bar-model problems, connect multiplication and division, recall the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times tables at an appropriate level, and apply Mathematics to fractions, money, time, measurement, geometry and data.

An advanced Semester 2 program that deepens Singapore Primary 2 Mathematics and bridges into selected Primary 3 content through reasoning, challenge work and independent problem solving.
